Sabbatini Equipos Hidráulicos is constantly committed to strengthening and developing the national industry, which is why it donated a machining center (CNC KACHI) to be used by students of the UTN – Haedo Regional Faculty throughout their professional training educational processes.
Sergio Cortese, Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Vice Dean of the Haedo Regional Faculty of the UTN, said that “This CNC becomes the first machine in the laboratory and will be transversal to all disciplines to reinforce the activity of various projects and subjects.”
While the machine is key to providing the possibility of materializing various research projects of the university, it will also be very important for numerous subjects among which the following stand out: “Informatics” of the second year, for training in numerical control and its commands, “Labor Studies” of the third year, which is directed by engineer Federico Davis and José Díaz to carry out chip removal processes, “Industrial Processes” of the fourth year to practice the use of machinery and “Product Design” of the fourth year, where it will be used to manufacture alloy parts.
The CNC is currently being programmed by Martín Libralato, professor of the Electronics Laboratory, to meet the specific requirements of students, teachers and project leaders. The equipment will be used primarily in the “Methods and Times Laboratory” headed by engineer Federico Davis, as well as in the “Aerodynamics and Fluids”, “Engines” and “Propulsion” laboratories of the University.
Next year, university authorities will visit the company to share the academic experiences carried out by the team.
